From one webshop to multiple markets — scalable from day one

Case study · Cross-border commerce · Multi-market · Internationalization

Alinda started as a small Hungarian online shop — and grew within a few years into one of the dominant e-commerce businesses in the region. What made that possible: a technical architecture built for international expansion from day one.

Challenge: growth the platform couldn't afford to slow down

Success at home brought the next step: multiple countries, multiple languages, different currencies, local payment and shipping requirements. The question wasn't whether to expand — it was how to keep it scalable and maintainable, without running a separate shop for every country.

Solution: one platform, many markets — a single admin interface

Oander built the Alinda platform on a multi-store architecture that lets every country-specific store be managed from one central interface. Languages, product ranges, prices, payment methods and shipping options are configured individually per market — but maintained centrally. In the first few years alone, nearly 3,000 development hours went into feature work: product feeds, SEO optimization, content modules, custom order logic, and third-party integrations.

Result: multiple countries, one team, one admin

Alinda is now active in several markets across the region. The platform architecture didn't slow that growth down — it enabled it: every new market goes live as an additional store view, without rebuilding the existing infrastructure.

Why this matters for Saudi and GCC businesses: expansion without rebuilding your systems

Whether you're expanding from Saudi Arabia into the UAE, Kuwait, or another GCC market, the questions are the same: local language, local payment methods, local tax and shipping logic — all without building a separate shop for every country. This kind of architecture is our standard approach.
